Welcome to BellEve Jewellery

Hi and welcome to BellEve Jewellery by Charlotte.

BellEve Jewellery is an independent, artisan jewellery business inspired by the sea and shaped by hand. Based on the English Riviera, BellEve is rooted in a life lived close to the coast, where shoreline walks, open-water swimming, and the quiet ritual of beachcombing are part of everyday life.

BellEve is named after my two daughters, Bell and Eve, who continue to inspire both the name and the spirit of my work. Together we collect sea glass and treasures from the shore, often imagining what each fragment might become before it ever reaches the workshop.

Every piece of BellEve jewellery is handmade by me using traditional silversmithing techniques. I work primarily in recycled silver, alongside pearls, sea glass, gemstones, enamel, shells, copper, found items and occasional solid gold elements. I enjoy allowing the natural form, colour, and character of each material to guide the design, creating pieces that feel balanced, individual, and timeless.

My work is presented across three collections:

White Sands — luminous, ocean-born pieces inspired by pale shores, gentle tides, and softly polished silver.
Black Tide — darker, myth-led jewellery shaped by deeper waters, folklore, and shadowed textures.
Moonlit — my most refined collection, featuring hand-formed, hallmarked silver designed to endure beyond seasons and trends.

BellEve jewellery is created slowly and intentionally, with a focus on quality, originality, and craftsmanship. Each piece is designed to be worn, lived with, and treasured, carrying a quiet connection to the sea and the hands that made it.

If you love the spirit of my work but are looking for something more personal, I’m always happy to discuss bespoke commissions and made-to-order pieces.

What is seaglass?

Seaglass is broken glass that has been weathered, shaped and smoothed by the sea or in some cases lake. It is the product of both nature and human activity, as it is made from discarded glass that is tumbled by the waves and currents.

More excitingly it can be found on beaches all around the coastline of Torbay and indeed Britain. If you are really lucky you can find mermaid tears and pirate glass too.

Seaglass is very varied in shape, colour, size and texture. Some of it dates back 100s of years. Some more recent finds still bare the hallmark of a well known beer and needs to be surrendered back to the sea!

Some of my favourite pieces so far have included a hand blown white bottle piece… How do I know its hand blown? You can tell by the thickness of the glass, the irregular bubbles set in the glass and the weight of it…Yes I really am obsessed with the history behind each piece.

Do you have your own special piece of seaglass?

Then please do get in touch and I can make something with your piece of seaglass. I do not charge extra for this service, I base all my prices around the weight of silver used and the time involved to create it. I want to ensure you get the most value for your money. It would be my pleasure to make something unique and personal to you.

I love making jewellery, but I also think it is important to do as much as I can to be eco friendly and sustainable . Seaglass is sourced locally and recycled into different pieces of jewellery. I use as many recycled materials as possible in my designs, including the silver. As my company grows, it is important to me that I retain eco friendly values at our heart.

My business cards, gift boxes, postal packages can all be recycled at home. My gift boxes are made from local wood and produced by an ethically sustainable supplier, lovely Bradley adn his family in Torbay at Epic Laser Design!

I will continue to source the best environmentally friendly materials possible for BellEve Seaglass so you can feel assured that the jewellery you are buying is ethical sourced and sustainable.

I have also pledged and I am proud to be part of the Green Makers Initiative. Craft Makers based in the Southwest can become pledged Green Makers by signing up to the Green Maker Initiative (GMI), which provides support and advice for crafts individuals and groups committed to reducing their environmental impact.

I really hope you like what you see. I pride myself on creating affordable, durable pieces, full of my love for the craft of silver and sea!

Happy shopping and I hope to see you soon.

Any questions please do get in touch.
